1990/91 was Arena's 40th anniversary season
Zelda Fichandler celebrates her 40th and final season as Arena Stage’s Producing Director.

The 1991/92 season marked Douglas C. Wager’s first season as Artistic Director.

The Arena space was officially renamed the Fichandler Stage in honor of Arena Stage founders Zelda Fichandler and Thomas C. Fichandler on Thursday, October 22, 1992, in conjunction with the opening of THE WAY OF THE WORLD.

The 1997/1998 season was Douglas C. Wager’s final season as Arena Stage’s Artistic Director.
